Who We Are

Established in September 1901

We strive to walk together in Christian love with the aid of the Holy Spirit. Our goals are to advance the church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to support its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines; and to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of its ministries and mission efforts. We are dedicated to helping the poor and spreading the gospel to all nations.

Pastor: Dr. Larry Watson

I was born in Clay County in 1955. My family moved to Webster where I currently live. I accepted Christ at an early age of seven. I am married to Patsy Files Watson. We have been married for Forty-Eight years. I taught Sunday School, served as Deacon and mission director for 25 years before accepting the call into ministry. I served as pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church then was called to Wood Springs Baptist Church. I served there for six years and then was called to Self Creek Southern Baptist Church where I now reside in my 11th year as pastor.
